My name is Al Thead and I have been taking my cars to Quality Lube n Tune for going on four years now. In that time I have had four vehicles and they serviced them all providing incredible work. I go here because they are trustworthy and honest people and I like to do business with them. Their $21 oil change is nearly impossible to beat even if doing it myself. Enjoy the service and the people!
According to recent studies, 5 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities are clearly caused by automobile maintenance neglect. The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of coolant should be checked. (A 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water is usually recommended.)Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled. The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps and hoses should be checked by a pro.Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your manual, or more often (every 3,000 miles) if you make frequent short jaunts, extended trips with lots of luggage or tow a trailer.Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended, or more often in dusty conditions. Get engine drivability problems (hard stops, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) corrected at a good shop.A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; let the tires cool down first. Don't forget your spare and be sure your jack is in good condition.Check your owner's manual to find out what fuel octane rating your car's engine needs then buy it.Keep your tires inflated to the proper levels. Under-inflated tires make it harder for your car to move down the road, which means your engine uses more fuel to maintain speed.Lighten the load. Heavier vehicles use more fuel, so clean out unnecessary weight in the passenger compartment or trunk before you hit the road.Use the A/C sparingly. The air conditioner puts extra load on the engine forcing more fuel to be used.Keep your windows closed. Wide-open windows, especially at highway speeds, increase aerodynamic drag and the result is up to a 10% decrease in fuel economy.Avoid long idling. If you anticipate being stopped for more than one minute, shut off the car. Contrary to popular belief, restarting the car uses less fuel than letting it idle.Stay within posted speed limits. The faster you drive, the more fuel you use. For example, driving at 65 miles per hour (mph) rather than 55 mph, increases fuel consumption by 20 percent.Use cruise control. Using cruise control on highway trips can help you maintain a constant speed and, in most cases, reduce your fuel consumption.Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged/restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency as much as 30 percent.Inspect the engine's belts regularly. Look for cracks or missing sections or segments. Worn belts will affect the engine performance.Have the fuel filter changed every 10,000 miles to prevent rust, dirt and other impurities from entering the fuel system.Change the transmission fluid and filter every 15,000 to 18,000 miles. This will protect the precision-crafted components of the transmission/transaxle.Inspect the suspension system regularly. This will extend the life of the vehicle's tires.

Adam Cline1 StarHave been getting oil changes and routine maintenance here for 10+ years but since moving to their new location they can't get customers in and out in a timely manner. Routinely told it will take an hour to hour and half for an oil change, 3-4 hours later they haven't touched your vehicle.Tuesday 14th January 2025
T Craig1 StarAfter speaking with Dan and sharing that my 2006 a 4Runner AC was blowing cold at a temperature of 40 degrees. I mentioned that I would like to see if I could get it to 35. He then shared that he had a vehicle that was the same age with the same problem but that his vehicle’s air stopped blowing cold and was blowing hot. I shared “that doesn’t sound like the same problem” however he assured me that he could get my air to blow colder.
I proactively took my 4Runner in to his shop two days later on Saturday 8/3//24. I waited most of the day for him to complete the mission, only to have him try unsuccessfully three times before with the temperature reaching near 100 degrees inside the cabin before he then says “ I’ll have to keep it longer to figure out the problem “.
I had to CALL HIM two days later ( he didn’t call me) to learn that they were still trying to figure out the issue. I complained to him that it had been far too long that he had my vehicle and that if he couldn’t fix it just admit it! as I would take it some place else! I expressed that I would have to stop working and come and get my vehicle, which would be another inconvenience.
He ring me a few hours later and said that it was ready and fixed and that he would have someone bring it. A lady brought my vehicle and as she was handing me the keys she complained about the steering wheel being so hot. I responded to her with “well it was sitting at your shop for the last to days not covered, so it should be hot”
Through the entire mess, no one apologized and I was charged $234.23 for this shop and yet I have to now take it to another shop fix the AC because now it‘s fluctuating from 50 to 65°F!
I will NEVER use this shop again and I will tell everyone that I know to not go there under any circumstance.Tuesday 6th August 2024
Randy Owens5 StarGreat service! I just went in for an oil change and basic service. They got me in and out quickly, were professional and knowledgeable, and I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me on a bunch of extra work that I didn't need. I will continue getting regular service done here.Monday 17th June 2024
Deborah Wheeler1 StarI brought in two vehicles for transmission fluid that didn't leak, got both vehicles back with leaking! Talked personally with owner expressing his crew must of overfilled the fluids. He denied the possibility of that happening blaming it in the milage. Two non leaking vehicles......two leaking vehicles after service? Mileage?
Asked him to correct the issue and he would not budge. Had to spend more money at a better shop to fix their problem. Won't ever go back. At least a little integrity might of kept me as a customer.Wednesday 10th April 2024
Stephen Johnston5 StarIf you need suspension work done, these are the people to talk too. They added air bags and heavy duty springs to my 22 ram and it rides amazing now, even with a 10,000 lb travel trailer behind me. I will definitely be bringing my next to project to them.Friday 10th May 2024
