I’ve taken my truck in here a couple of times before and gotten great service. Today my starter went and I had it towed in not expecting them to even look at it before Monday. My starter was replaced and my truck back in my driveway within 3.5 hours. William is the go to guy! He and Eric were friendly and I couldn’t ask for a better place.

I purchased a new battery from Pep Boys. Approximately 3 weeks later my check engine light came on. I took it to get scanned and the code came back that there was an issue with the fuel sensors. I took it to an experienced shop I have used for 20 years and trust. The battery I was sold was sulfated and was causing communication errors throughout the rest of the system triggering the check engine light. I contacted Pep Boys to remedy the issue and they were less than pleasant to deal with. Not only did I have to spend almost $200 on diagnostic fees, I was out a vehicle for 2 days and several hours of missed work. Of course Pep Boys didn’t take any responsibility or offer any kind of compensation. Pep Boys selling me a faulty battery ended up costing me over $500. I was also passive aggressively told it was my fault I took it to a different shop and if I had brought it back to Pep Boys I wouldn’t be in this situation. I drive a newer Mercedes and many shops don’t even work on them. It wasn’t a battery light that came on, it was a check engine light and I had the code ran BEFORE I took it to a shop. I am not obligated to trust Pep Boys to service my car, although the manager apparently thought otherwise. Horrible experience all around.

My 20 year old van drives like new after a spa day with these guys. Everyone I spoke to both over the phone and IRL was very friendly and helpful. Competitive pricing. Don't know why so many people are giving bad reviews. My experience was positive.

Went in for a 4 wheel brake job. After a good 10 minutes of typing on the computer, the tech prints up a quote for almost $900. Odd, since their website says it’s $185 per axle for their premium brake job. The quote included 4 new rotors. When I questioned why they would think I would need new rotors, another tech, who looked to be a higher up, chimed in that they couldn’t resurface the rotors because their machine was down and a new machine was coming in a few days. So I’m supposed to buy 4 new unnecessary rotors because their machine was down? Why not just tell me they were unable to resurface the rotors when I asked for a quote. Never again!

William at Pep Boys was a great person to deal with and I had a very good experience. Service was faster than expected. I am definitely going back for most of my car repairs. Toyota tried to sell me a repair service that wasn't necessarily, no need for that repair at this time. Saved me over $400 on the repair that wasn't needed. Also was almost $200 cheaper than Toyota even with a Oil Change included. Thank you William for your honesty. Nancy
